Hello, and welcome! I want you to feel as confident on your wedding day as I do servicing you with your special day beauty needs, so I'd like to tell you a bit about myself. I have had a career in the entertainment industry for about 20 years, doing everything from modeling to hosting on QVC. I've been in many commercials, have acted in feature films, and I've done countless stage productions. Somewhere along the way, I discovered that my true passion was in designing looks and applying makeup to other people.
I was trained, early on, by Dawn Shearer, the owner of Fashion Mystique Modeling Agency. As a model myself, I learned how to work with colors and contouring, recognizing that what may work for one person may not for another. I began teaching makeup classes to other models and actors.
With my own acting career in full swing, I was presented with HD, or high definition television, and my entire approach to makeup changed. Prior to HD, the old method of applying makeup with fingertips, sponges, or brushes seemed to work fine; however, the first time I saw footage of myself on HD, I quickly realized that another method of makeup application was necessary. HD magnifies every flaw, every brushstroke, every color change and line of demarcation, everything! There weren't many makeup artists in my area offering airbrush makeup, so I decided to equip myself with my own system, become certified, and to beautify myself and others. I am now a MAC-Pro, freelance, airbrush artist.
I have done key makeup for films, tv, pilots, commercials, print ads, modeling shoots, catalogs, high fashion, live presentations, and more. My claim to fame; however, and most treasured job is providing brides and their parties with flawless bridal day makeup. Nothing is more satisfying to me than seeing a bride look in the mirror and watching her take her own breath away!
